Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Plan: Salu-Salo (“Salu-Salo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at plansalu-salo.com and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Plan: Salu-Salo is a group dining planning and booking platform that helps friends, families, and colleagues in the Philippines decide where to eat together. Features include group creation, restaurant discovery, voting, and plan finalization.

Features and functionality may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features without prior notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Accounts

You create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of the Google account linked to your Salu-Salo access
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information (such as dietary preferences, where relevant)

Notify us immediately at support@plansalu-salo.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any Philippine law
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post or submit false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that do not belong to you
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers running the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without written permission
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., group names, messages, preferences). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are responsible for the content you submit. You represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services including Google (Sign-In, Places, Geocoding), Supabase, Resend, Anthropic, and Vercel. Your use of the Service may also be subject to the terms of those providers. Restaurant information is sourced from third parties and we do not guarantee its accuracy or availability.

8. Restaurant information and bookings

Restaurant details (name, address, hours, ratings, photos) are provided by third-party sources such as Google Places. We do not verify this information independently and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or current availability. You should confirm details directly with the restaurant before visiting.

If and when the Service enables direct booking with restaurants, separate terms may apply and will be communicated at the point of booking.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for downtime or data loss arising from such events.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be error-free, or that restaurant recommendations will match your expectations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Plan: Salu-Salo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or issues arising from dining experiences at recommended restaurants.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₱1,000, whichever is greater. (The Service is currently free to use.)

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plan: Salu-Salo, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by contacting support@plansalu-salo.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, Philippines, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
